Short: Joy&pad support for Macintosh emulators Author: fdoro@gpnet.it (Francesco Doro) Uploader: fdoro gpnet it (Francesco Doro) Type: misc/emu Replaces: misc/emu/MacJoy12.lha Architecture: m68k-amigaos MacJoy is mainly a joystick support for the Macintosh emulators Shape Shifter and Emplant. Since there are a lot of Mac games that work well with these emulators, you may want to play them using your usual Amiga joystick or CD32 joypad. All Mac games give at least keyboard support; MacJoy remaps gameport events to keyboard events so that moving joystick or joypad is the same as pressing keys. Try it and you'll see that playing a Mac game is exactly as playing an Amiga game with real joystick support. In this archive you find two small utilities, MacJoy and MacJoyPad. MacJoy handles only joystick and uses gameport.device. MacJoyPad handles both joystick and the CD32 joypad but requires lowlevel.library, not included. These utilities probably can be useful also for some Amiga applications or other emulators, they work for every application that uses the Amiga OS. I did everything possible to make them compatible and OS friendly; I have not used any hack or illegal patch. *** Changes in v1.3: MacJoy: unchanged. MacJoyPad: - Fixed a big bug (occurred only if it was launched twice) - Now if launched from shell or script it doesn't open any window - Added LED option to turn audio filter off - Changed default config (not safe to have a Return key in the joypad...)
