RetroArch is a modular Emulation System. Basically this means:

- Functions like Video Refresh, Sound, Gamepad etc. only are implemented once,
in   the central exe
- The central exe is highly optimized, with a multithreaded Approach (often
faster than individual Emulators)
- It is much easier to port "Cores" (the Modules) than a fully new Emulator of
some System
- A large amount of "Cores" is already available (see also the separate Archives
with Cores on this site)
- All under a common GUI. So no longer GUI-less Emulators.

Please note that a version for AmigaOS 3.x 68k is also in
development (and a AROS Version under Evaluation - GUI already runs) and will be
released once they are ready. A Version for AmigaOS 4 is available on os4depot,
and a version for MorphOS is available on MorphOS Storage.
