Short: GM file by Geoff Milnes & Jason Swales Author: Geoff Milnes Uploader: geoff geemil demon co uk (Geoff Milnes) Type: mods/midi Architecture: generic The music which makes up this midifile is copyright G.Milnes 1996. However, it may be distributed freely and played as entertainment, but MUST include this read.me file. Should the music be used for financial gain, permission MUST be sought and obtained from the composer (e-mail address as above) BEFORE it's use. I would also very much appreciate being notified of any distribution and use as I would like to know whether the music has been of some use. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Several years ago whilst my son was still at school, one of his mates showed an interest in keyboard playing and visited our home on several occasions. During one of these visits, he played me about ten bars of music (basically rhythm) which he had been playing about with at school. I asked him to play it again whilst I recorded it on Tiger Cub. Over several months, I expanded on his basic rhythm to eventually produce the current file. It was first written using a Technics SX PR250 Digital Piano (superb instrument!) and following my recent acquisition of a Yamaha General Midi PSR-220, the file was converted to GM. Although this was not the first piece of music I had composed, it was a milestone in that the vast majority of it was composed at the computer keyboard and not a musical keyboard and through this, gave me a better understanding of the use of sequencers. Having now reached the limit of the software I am using (Dr T's Tiger Cub) I would like to upgrade to Dr T's KCS with the full version of Tiger software but am unable to obtain it. If anyone reading this has a copy to sell, I would be very grateful as, having reached the ripe old age of 50+, I now find it somewhat difficult to change to a different base of sequencer. There are actually two files in the archive, a .midi file and a .cub file for anyone out there able to use it. LONG LIVE THE AMIGA. Enjoy! Geoff Milnes. ------------------------------------------------------------------------
