GMPlay is a player program for MIDI Files for the Commodore Amiga. These files usually carry the extension ".MID" and they are commonly used in the PC sector. GMPlay is currently the only public program to listen to MIDI files with the Amiga computer (without additional hardware). System requirements An Amiga with MC68020 CPU or better. Kickstart 2.0 or better is required. Technical Data -plays General MIDI, Roland GS and Yamaha-XG MIDI files. -maximum 64 voice polyphony -it mixes with the processor in 16 bit stereo (intensive CPU load) -currently 128 instruments, any number of drums and drum kits. -the output is done in 14 bit stereo using the Paula chip. -the output sampling frequency can be freely chosen. -all samples are in IFF 8SVX format. -supports XPK compression for MIDI files and instruments. -the program only runs from shell and does not have a graphical user interface. -installation is done with the Commodore installer. -the texts of the program are in English. -the documentation is in English as well. -------------------------deutsche Kommentare hier-------------------------- Was ist GMPlay?
