============================================================================

Architectures: Classic AMIGAs and WinUAE.
-----------------------------------------

  MINIMUM Requirements Are:-
  --------------------------

68EC020 CPU and 2MB RAM total, example, a standard A1200(HD).
       WinUAE Version 1.5.3 minimum.
       Standard OS3.0x install or better.
(It might work on E-UAE too but untested.)

Version 0.00.10:- Original upload to AMINET...

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just download The Esc_Codes.shell.txt file and see how to control many
aspects of the CLI using UNIX style ANSI escape codes. To run the script
just rename to Esc_Codes.shell and execute it in the normal way from a CLI:-

Execute VOLUME:to/full/path/of/Esc_Codes.shell<CR>

Were '<CR>' is the RETURN/ENTER key and 'VOLUME:to/full/path/of/' is the
drive and drawer where the script resides...

Ensure that the 'ENV:' and 'T:' volumes exist before running.

Also RexxMast must be running but there is a line in the code to edit to
cater for this situation...

The ARexx script created is saved to the T: volume as Input.rexx.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

IMPORTANT NOTE:-
----------------

Read the shell script first before running!!!

The script is purely demonstration code to show how to clear the screen,
give certain character _Fonts_, control the colours, position the cursor,
generate keyboard input using an ARexx command created on the fly and do
a simple box and button pseudo-graphic apperance. The final page is a
method of generating a bell character and using 'ECHO' to fire it...

This, along with the other #?.shell.txt files on AMINET, gives you the
capability of creating sophisticated shell scripts.

Enjoy finding simple solutions to often very difficult problems... ;o)

please for your OWN experiments. See below. I would dearly love an Email

    Testing Evaluation:-
    --------------------

All WinUAE and Classic AMIGA test conditions were/are running standard
OS3.0x/OS3.1x and using standard ~topaz 8~ fonts throughout.

I have no idea what strange configuration setups will create so refer
to the ~The Legal Stuff~ above.
