Kompensator - AmigaDOS scripts with a GUI

A small MUI tool that keeps a list of AmigaDOS command lines and
runs the selected ones like a script - with a delay and an
optional Run for every line, a progress gauge and a Stop button.

Build your startup chores, mount-and-assign sequences or tool
launchers once, tick the lines you need today, and start them
with one click.

FEATURES:

Any number of command lines - add, delete and reorder them with
the up/down and delete buttons. Every line has its own checkbox,
a delay in seconds (waited before the command starts) and a Run
switch that starts the command detached with "Run >NIL:".

"Execute selected" runs the ticked lines one after another in a
single shell, just like a real script: CD, local variables,
If/Else/EndIf, Skip/Lab and Quit all work across lines. The GUI
stays usable while the commands run.

Progress gauge showing finished lines and percentage, e.g.
"3 / 10 (30%)", and the total run time when the job is done,
e.g. "Done. (12.34 s)".

Unticked lines sit on a dithered backdrop but stay editable, and
the line currently executing gets a fill color dither.

Stop breaks the running command or delay at once (CTRL-C),
skips the rest of the script (CTRL-D).

Command output goes to a console window that only opens when
there is something to show.

Import existing AmigaDOS scripts - Wait and Run lines are turned
into delays and Run switches - and export the selected lines as
a normal script with the script (s) protection bit set.

Plain text config file. Kompensator takes it from a Shell
argument, a project icon, the CONFIG ToolType or, by default,
PROGDIR:Kompensator.cfg.

REQUIREMENTS:

AmigaOS 3.0 or higher and MUI 3.8 or later. MUI is not
included. Kompensator itself is plain 68000 code and runs on
any Amiga that runs your MUI version.

T: must be available - Kompensator writes its temporary script
and a tiny progress helper there, and removes both again.

INSTALLATION:

Copy the Kompensator drawer to your hard drive and double-click
the icon. The config file is created next to the program the
first time you click "Save Config". To keep it elsewhere, set
the CONFIG ToolType, e.g. CONFIG=S:Kompensator.cfg.

Scripts run with "FailAt 21", so a failing command does not stop
the lines after it. Add your own FailAt line to change that.

ICONS:

The program and drawer icons are GlowIcons with a 4 color
fallback for OS 3.0/3.1. For MagicWB there is an 8 color set in
the MagicWB drawer: copy MagicWB/Kompensator.info over the
program icon, and MagicWB/Drawer.info next to the Kompensator
drawer, renamed to Kompensator.info.
