You are CORBEAU, a hacker. At 04h12, on the thirty-first day of rain, forty kilometres of coast off Bergen lie black with crude - and TETHYS Petrochem calls it somebody else's fault. A contact needs proof, not rumour: three documents, pulled from inside the TETHYS network, before the story runs at 06h00. You have no face. Just a node number and a debt. Break into TETHYS through the tradesmen's entrance, climb from a public gateway to root, and get out before the trace closes on you. It is all typed commands and cold terminals - a text adventure in the tradition of the old mainframe break-in fantasy. This package contains both language editions: INTRUDER - English INTRUS - French ("L'AFFAIRE MER DU NORD") Features -------- * 256-colour AGA night title screen (North Sea oil platform, moonlit sea, a hacker at a glowing terminal) * Three original dark-ambient soundtrack themes (calm / intrusion / ending), played by a custom ProTracker replayer driven under the vertical-blank interrupt for a rock-steady tempo * Electronic key-press beep on command entry * 40-column terminal presentation, topaz-8, custom screen * Type HELP at any time (AIDE in the French edition) Requirements ------------ * AmigaOS 2.0 (V36) or newer * AGA chipset for the 256-colour title screen * 68000 CPU or better How to play ----------- Double-click the INTRUDER icon (English) or the INTRUS icon (French), or run either from the CLI. The title screen waits for a keypress or a short delay, then drops you at your deck. Type commands and press Return. SCAN, HELP and the messages you receive will point the way in. Notes ----- The game began life on an Apple-1 (6502) and was ported to the Amiga in C. Both the Apple-1 and Amiga editions exist in English and French. License ------- Freeware.
