Short: WB3+ Make seed groups from an item list Author: lifeschool (Dan Waddington) Uploader: lifeschool (Dan Waddington) Type: util/misc Version: 1.0 Requires: KS3.0+ Architecture: m68k-amigaos >= 3.0 Name: Compo Seeder Status: Freeware Amiga Competition Tool made with CanDo 3. This tool creates player groups from a list of up to 20 players. It also makes groups from any list of items, in a randomly generated order, or in a seeded order. The seeded option will pick a selection from the top, middle, and bottom of the items list, so that top players cant face each other, and are placed in different groups. There is also a Sort option, to sort the items list based on a column value. It can also be used as a randomiser of anything, including Music Chords, Menu Ingredients, Lottery Numbers, etc. The results can then be saved as a text file for printing or keeping. Requirements Any Amiga with Kickstart 3.0+ (does NOT work with KS2 roms). Workbench 3.0+ operating system, PAL or NTSC. Any spare memory (uses 350k). Any CPU. Any free disk space. Installation Unpack the archive and copy the tool anywhere. The tool comes with an icon, or it can launch from CLI Using the App The tool comes with a built-in help manual. Just click the Help button, and scroll down to read it. Type, Enter, or Load In some text into the left panel, make sure to press Return/Enter after every line, and leaving one blank line at the bottom of the list. Enter the Seeds/Players Per Group into the box (0 = no groups). Then hit Random Go! for a random list of those lines, in groups, depending on the number of seeds per group you entered. Or also enter the Groups in the Groups box. Then hit Seeded Go! for a seed ranked list, based on Top/Middle/Bottom. Seed ranked results can be up to 20 players (or 21 if 3 groups of 7). For everything else, see HELP in the tool itself.
