Short: A window that reports its position & size. Author: jtierney@cyberlink-inc.com (Jody Tierney) Uploader: themandalorian2023 proton me Type: util/misc Version: 1.1B Architecture: m68k-amigaos While searching for a program that would open a window with the option to change its size and display the parameters of that window, I found TestWindow. Unfortunately, it lacked one feature: after closing the window, the program did not send its size parameters to CON or a variable in ENV. Fortunately, the author also included the source code in AmigaE in the archive. A small change in the code added the feature I was missing. I made a few more cosmetic changes to the code regarding the data displayed on the top bar of Workbench and raised the version number to 1.1B. Currently, after closing the TestWindow window, a CON window opens and data such as Width/Height is displayed, which can be easily redirected to a variable in ENV. Of course, all copyrights belong to the original creator of the program. I am only responsible for the minor changes I made. Lucas "Ponki" 14/02/2026 -------------------------------------------------------------------- Below is the original text by the author from version 1.0B: TestWindow opens a window on any public screen. It does nothing except report it's size and position in the screen's titlebar. As dull as this may sound, it's actually useful at times when you want a window's dimensions and/or position to be just-so. Requires WB 2.04 or above. Public Domain. Includes source in Amiga E.
