Short: MUI task manager, two tabs, mouse driven Author: renaud.schweingruber@protonmail.com (Renaud Schweingruber) Uploader: renaud schweingruber protonmail com (Renaud Schweingruber) Type: util/misc Version: 1.0 Requires: MUI 3.8 (muimaster.library V19) Architecture: m68k-amigaos >= 3.0 Distribution: Aminet ToDo is a small task manager for AmigaOS 3.x, built on MUI 3.8. It keeps two lists side by side, on two tabs: the things you still have to do, and the things you have already done. Everything is driven with the mouse; the keyboard is only needed to type the text of a new task. Features ~~~~~~~~ o Every task is a row with its own checkmark. Tick it and the task moves to the "Done" tab, stamped with the date and time. Untick it and it comes back to the "To Do" list. o Per-row arrows to reorder pending tasks, per-row button to delete one, and a Clear button to wipe all completed tasks at once. Deletions ask for confirmation. o Completed tasks show when they were finished, on the right of the row: (task ended on 09-Aug-26 14:32:10) o Right mouse button opens the menus: About, Hide and Quit. o ToDo is a commodity. Press ctrl alt t to hide the window and press it again to bring it back to the front; set another combination with the CX_POPKEY tool type. It shows up in Exchange, and starting it twice just pops up the copy already running. The close gadget hides the window rather than quitting, so the hotkey stays alive. o Tasks are stored in PROGDIR:ToDo.db, a plain ASCII file you can read or edit with any text editor. The file is rewritten after every change, so a crash or a power cut costs you nothing. o Nothing is installed anywhere: no assign, no file outside the program drawer, no entry in ENV:. To uninstall, delete the drawer. Requirements ~~~~~~~~~~~~ AmigaOS 3.0 or better, MUI 3.8 or better, commodities.library, about 100 KB of free memory. Runs on a plain 68000; no FPU or RTG needed. Installation ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Copy the drawer wherever you like. From the Shell, run "stack 16384" before starting ToDo; from Workbench, set the tool type STACK=16384. Limitations ~~~~~~~~~~~ Tasks cannot be edited once created. Completed tasks are shown in italics rather than struck through, because the MUI 3.8 text engine has no strikethrough. 400 tasks per tab, one line each. English interface only, no ARexx port.
