CAVEMAN
Orginally a console game developed by company TOMY Ltd. from Japan and
relased in 1982. It was using a VFD (Vacuum Florescent Display), which
unlike LCD emits bright light and can display various colors.
A port of the game was also released as a C64 game as late as in 2020.

Earlier I did recreate the game using the Hollywood language. This runs
well on faster hardware so I made versions for MorphOS, AmigaOS, AROS,
Android and Windows. But the 68k versions was quite slow unless using
a PiStorm of similar fast hardware.
Therefore I decided to create this version using Blitz Basic.
Tested and runs on A500 with 1MB RAM or better.
Start the game from Workbench or boot from floppy.
To run from HDD, just copy the Executable and the folders images, mods
and sounds to a folder on your harddrive.
Note that if you have only 1MB RAM you might be better off booting from
floppy.
Alternatively you can replace the music file caveman.mod with a
smaller MOD file to save some RAM. The file grimlock3.mod is there for
that purpose. Just rename it to caveman.mod (in the mods folder)

The MOD files comes from The MOD Archeive, https://modarchive.org/
Both of these MODS was made in the the mid 90's apearently uploded to
the MOD archeive around 20 years ago.

The Caveman icon does have reduced number of colours to be visible on
older systems. A full colour icon is available in the icon drawer, as
provided by user AMIGASYSTEM at amigaworld.net.

HOW TO PLAY CAVEMAN

The object of the game is to get a high score by
manoeuvring the caveman to steal the egg while
skillfully evading volcanic bombs, dinosaur attcks,
and interference from a dragon.

The different characters/objects in the game:
- Caveman. This is the main character and is controlled by the player
- Dinosaur. The dinosaur is the one that lays the eggs and will try
to hit the player with flames to protect her eggs.
If the Cavemman is hit by this flame he loose one life.
- Eggs. They will apear under the dinosaur and rolls left at first,
then after a while will roll right and finally hatch into a baby
  dinosaur.
At their leftmost position the Cavaman can steel them. The Cavmeman
needs a short while to grab the egg, which will start blinking when
grabbed. Then the player cab carry the egg back and put it on the egg
counter. When the next egg is put on the counter, the first egg will
be pushed into the cave for safe storage.
When the cave is filled with 8 eggs, the game change to next level.
- Dragons (primitive birds). They will apear in the air above the
player. They are harmless for the Caveman, but will try to snatch
the egg that is left on the egg counter.
- Stone Axe. The Caveman can throw his axe on the flying dragons or the
dinosaur. The axe can only hit the dinosaur while facing up.
Then the dinosaur will be dizzy for and unable to watch her eggs for
  a short time.
- Volcanic bombs. When the volcano is active it will burst out burning
lava into the air. This will fall down and may hit the Caveman.
If a lavabomb hit the Cavemans head he loose one life.
- After a life is lost the number of lives left will be indicated by
the number of cavemen that is visible at the same time.
- At 2000 points you will be rewarded with one extra life.

There are 4 game modes.
Game mode will change after successfully filling the cave with eggs.
- The battle of caveman vs. dinosaur

- Caveman vs volcano and dinosaur
- Caveman vs dragon, volcano and dinosaur
