Snapper is a little commodity that lets you snapshot the position/size of
windows, so that they re-open in their snapshotted positions when they open
again.

It works very well, but does require that the window has the same title every
time it opens (this is how Snapper identifies windows).

Snapper is completely Freeware, and source is included for you to play around
with.
