                            Data Pack V 2.01
                            ================

Introduction:
This small Proggie was developed for all the dudes out there who wanna
use the advantages of the PowerPacker, without the need of buying a
new Version or with dealing with a pirate-copy.

Installation:
Copy the powerpacker.library in your LIBS: Directory. Then copy either
the reqtools13.library or the reqtools20.library to your LIBS:
directory depending on your Kickstart-Release. The name must be in
every case "reqtools.library"!!!!! Use reqtools13.library also if
you have Kickstart 1.2. If you use the 1.3-library with Kick 2.0, it
doesn't do anything except a small decrease in speed and a little more
memory-usage. In the other way (2.0-lib with Kick 1.3 or smaller) your
Machine will crash or it won't work (both things may happen - I
    checked this one out).

Usage:
Data Pack can handle all Data-Packed files from PowerPacker Versions
up to V4.1. You can decrunch them or even crunch them with the new
    V 4 high-Speed Routines. The Program needs the powerpacker.library
for (de)crunch-Routines and the reqtools.library for the Requesters.

The Menus:
DataPack is totally menu-controlled. It runs under Workbench 1.2, 1.3
    and 2.04.
    Project:
    --------
    Load: Load a file.
If the file is already crunched, it will be automatically de-
crunched at loading time. If you have specified a crunchmode
in the second menu, then the crunch-Process will start auto-
matically. You can notice this 'cos the DP-Screen gets the
          Workbench 1.3 colors.
Save As: Saves the crunched or decrunched file under the name you
          specified in the file-requester.
About: What could this be, eh?
Quit: Well, the most complex part :-)

    Crunchmode:
    -----------
Here you can select the crunchmode of the Data. Choose decrunch only if
    you just wanna decrunch files.

    Prefs:
    ------------
Colors: Helps you selecting you favourite colors for the DataPack
               Screen.
Save Settings: Saves the Selected colors to the file "s:DataPack.config".

              as:
              1) All the Files in this directory remain unmodified and are
distributed completely. This limitation does not affect
the distribution in LHARCED or ZOO'ed form via BBS.
              2) If the Prog is distributed by a dealer, the cost for a
disk including this Prog may not exceed the copy-fee for
                 an original AmigaLibDisk by FF!

Developmental notes:

The Software used to code this one is:
DICE C Compiler V 2.06.35 (this is my first project using DICE and it
is the coolest compiler I ever got!)
    PowerSource V 3.0
    DCC-Deluxe DICE Frontend V 1.13
    AZ V 1.50 Mutitasking Editor

The Program uses the following freely distributable Libraries:

reqtools.library by Niço Francois
powerpacker.library by Niço Francois
Thanx for this great stuff!

Hope you like this one 'cos I do

Regards
