This is version 0.2 of the codecs.library. This
library manages codecs in a similar way the datatypes
library manages datatypes.
Each codec implements a specific compression algorithm,
but they all share a general interface.

The included sp.codec image codec compresses 8 and 24
bit images much better than GIF or PNG do.

Included in this archive are:

 * the codecs.library
 * the sp.codec
 * the byterun.codec
 * a sample program that shows how it can be used
