With the most recent beta's of Welmat, it is moving toward being a
full XPR host with all transfer protocols (And then some) being made
available in the form of an library conforming to the XPR
specification.  This allows for a parallel development of support
utilities not available previously, and allows other authors to both
help in the development of Welmat supporting utilities, as well as
making the protocols available to Welmat users also available to other
authors.  This library is released under the GNU public licence.
