amifleet68 watches every Amiga on your network that runs amiagent, from
one MUI window on another Amiga. It is the Amiga-native sibling of
amifleet, the macOS console for the same fleet.
- Fleet board: one row per machine, refreshed every five seconds -
online state, round trip, agent version, CPU, OS, free Chip/Fast RAM.
- Details: the full system report, an AmigaDOS shell (with Break for a
command that hangs) and a file browser with Download and Upload.
- Screen: the machine's front screen, grabbed through the agent. Works on
any screen, even a Guru. Click, drag and type on the picture to drive
that machine.
- VNC: a client for AmiVNC. If AmiVNC is not running, amifleet68 starts
it through the agent first. 256-colour "Fast" mode for 68k viewers.
- Copy files: two panes, each on any machine - copy files and whole
drawers between Amigas (or within one), Move, Delete, Rename,
MakeDir; it asks before replacing anything.
Every path field has a drive popup with that machine's volumes,
assigns and devices.
- Scan network: finds every agent on your /24.
- ARexx port AMIFLEET68.1: MACHINES, STATE, POLL, ADD, DETAILS, SCREEN,
VNC, COPYFILES, CONNECT, DISCONNECT, FAULT, RX.
- Follows the Amiga UI Style Guide and the MUI style guide: fits a
640x200 topaz/8 screen, keyboard shortcuts everywhere, Help per window,
PUBSCREEN tool type.
- AmigaGuide manual (Help key or Project/Manual).
Requirements
------------
- AmigaOS 3.0+ (3.1 for planar drawing of remote screens), 68000 or
better (amifleet68.020 for 68020+)
- MUI 3.8+ (muimaster.library v19) amipkg install mui38
- bsdsocket.library: Roadshow, AmiTCP, Miami
- On each watched machine: amiagent 0.5.0+ (Aminet comm/net/amiagent)
- Optional: AmiVNC for VNC (Aminet comm/tcp/AmiVNC.lha)
Installation
------------
Drag the amifleet68 drawer wherever you like and double-click the
program. Prefer plain icons? "Classic icon" holds the same icon without
its GlowIcon part - copy it over amifleet68.info. The first run lists this machine's own agent; select it, click
Edit and enter your agent's TOKEN. Then Scan network, or Add machines.
Security
--------
amiagent runs any command for whoever knows its token, and the token and
all traffic are unencrypted. Keep the fleet on a network you trust.
