Short doc:

This little util should be used on startup time. It will wait
until all devices are validated by letting only one device for
validation at the same time. Therefore it prevents the noise and
slowdown. If validation error appears then filerequester (ASL)
will be opened to choose Your salvage program (for instance
AmiBackTools). Of course it will be executed, so you can repair
the partition. There is one exception - if bug requester appears
before VAL is executed then this feature fails and user has to
reboot and boot without startup-sequence to run his salvager by
hand... :-(

Please remember that this program has no use when you have working
reset handler logic (lucky - use DiskSafe.lha instead then). Also
users of non-validating filesystems shouldn't be so silly to install
this tool as it is useless in their case.

This program is also useless against incredible and extremely
seldom bugs like damaged filesystem, damaged driveinit code and
other almost impossible things :-(
