GiggleDisk is a tool that creates dos driver and mountlist files by reading
the hard disk MBR. This is useful to backup the partition positions and sizes.
If the MBR get corrupted you can simply mount the partitions and backup the
data.
Another feature is that it's auto creating mountfiles for NTFS, EXT file
systems, so you can create a proper working mount file by using this tool.
Usage:

DEVICE: Standard Amiga device. e.g. scsi.device
UNIT: Standard Amiga device unit e.g. 4
TO: Mount file target. If target is a drawer, then DOSDrivers for direct
usage in devs:DosDrivers/ will be created. If TO is pointing on a
filename or non existing file a mount list will be created by using
this name.
LIST This switch force partition listing.
LOWERCYL Some devices may have problems with high cylinder values. By using
this
option the values will be reduced to a minimum.
PREFIX By default any non RDB hard disk gets "GGD" as dos name. By using
this
argument you can create a personal id.
MAXTRANSFER By default 0xFFFE00 is used as default. Specify in decimal, (e.g.
1024),
or hexadecimal ( 0xf00000 or $f00000)
MOUNTDOS Auto mount MS-DOS partitions
MOUNTNTFS Auto mount NTFS partitions
MOUNTEXT Auto mount EXT partitions
MOUNTSGIX Auto mount SGIX partitions

GiggleDisk ist ein Program, mit dem sich sehr einfach DosDriver und
MountList Dateien erstellen lassen, die ein direktes mounten der jeweiligen
Partition erlauben. Das ist z.B. sehr praktisch, wenn der MBR beschädigt wird,
weil man dann immer noch auf die Daten zugreifen und die Daten retten kann.
Die wohl wichtigste Funktion ist, das komplett funktionstüchtige DosDriver
Dateien erstellt werden, die man sofort und ohne Änderung nutzen kann.

LIST Erzwingt das Listen von Partitionen.
LOWERCYL Einige Devices haben Probleme mit großen Zylinderangaben. Mit
diesem
werden die Werte auf ein Minimum reduziert.
PREFIX Normalerweise bekommt jede nicht RDB Partition den Laufwerksnamen
"GGD".
Mit dieser Option können sie das ändern.
MAXTRANSFER Normalerweie wird 0xFFFE00 vorgegeben. Sie konnen einen anderen Wert
angeben. Dabei steht ihnen dezimal (z.B. 1024) und hexadezimal
( z.B. 0xf00000 or $f00000) zur verfügung.
MOUNTDOS MS-DOS Partitionen werden gemountet.
MOUNTNTFS NTFS Partitionen werden gemountet.
MOUNTEXT EXT Partitionen werden gemountet.
MOUNTSGIX SGIX Partitionen werden gemountet.
Einige dieser Optionen stehen auch als ToolType zur Verfügung.
