This document describes how to replace a NiCad battery in your computer
with a lithium coin (watch) battery. When NiCads get old, they can leak
battery acid, which can eat traces on your computer and cause some
rather serious damage if not taken care of quickly. Lithium batteries
won't leak this acid, so are safer for a computer you plan to have
around for a while. If you plan to replace your battery soon, consider
going lithium, as putting another NiCad back in offers the same damage
potential as your current NiCad.

This hack works for any NiCad battery setup, A2000, A3000, bridgeboards,
A501s, PCs, etc...
