This is a small collection of files from people who are angry with
Commodore for numerous reasons. Included is an update to the first version
which includes a letter I intend to mail to CBM this week.
CBM has shown a loss of market share over the years in key markets
such as the United States. Numerous game companies, such as MAXIS,
MicroProse, and Electronic Arts have pulled out of the Amiga market due
to a lack of game sales in the US. Well, this needs to be changed, and
I am starting a grassroots effort that will hopefully influence the
market by doing the following:
- convince CBM to get its act together in the US, and of course
in other countries where support is sparse
- convince software developers to come back to the Amiga
- convince magazines to increase coverage of the Amiga and
stop ignoring it
If you are interested in contributing to this effort, please send
me email at dtiberio@libserv1.ic.sunysb.edu. What I need is a list of
software developers that have pulled out of the market, a list of magazines
that have ignored the Amiga (plus specifac articles and issues), and
last of all any comments regarding CBM's lack of support. I hear stories
that it is hard to purchase some of the high end Amiga 3000's and 4000's
in Europe, let alone get a 2.04 or 2.1 upgrade set.
