Hurrican is a freeware jump and shoot game by Poke53280 (Eiswuxe), made
in the spirit of Manfred Trenz's Turrican. Blast your way through nine
levels full of enemies and power-ups; seven user level packs are included.
This is a native AmigaOS 3.x 68k port of the community version from
https://github.com/HurricanGame/Hurrican, drawn with OpenGL ES 2.0 and
shaders through ogles2.library on the Raspberry Pi's GPU. The same game
for minigl.library is game/shoot/Hurrican_Minigl.lha.
REQUIREMENTS
------------
- A PiStorm with a Raspberry Pi 4 or CM4 and Emu68, AmigaOS 3.x
- An RTG system (Picasso96 or CyberGraphX) with a 32-bit 640x480 mode
- ogles2.library 1.3 and its shader compiler v3dglslc in LIBS: (not
included; github.com/ladislawv/ogles2, installed with its
Install-ogles2). In WinUAE, QuarkTex NG's ogles2.library works too.
- AHI for sound
The game compiles its shaders on the first start, which takes a few
seconds. They are kept in OGLES2Cache: when Install-ogles2 has set it
up, otherwise in T: until the next reboot.
If the game stays on a grey or white screen at the start, LIBS:v3dglslc
has lost its "e" protection bit (files copied from an archive unpacked
on a PC do). Fix it with: Protect LIBS:v3dglslc +e
INSTALLATION
------------
Unpack the archive anywhere and start Hurrican from its icon or from
the Shell. Settings, high scores and Game_Log.txt are kept in the
program's drawer (PROGDIR:). Quit the game from its menu.
F8 saves a screenshot as PNG in the screenshots drawer next to the
program (PROGDIR:screenshots/Hurrican001.png, Hurrican002.png, ...).
Command line options (Hurrican --help lists all of them):
-W run in a window on Workbench instead of a screen of its own
-F show the frame rate
Languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Polish,
Portuguese, Swedish and Turkish (Preferences, Choose language).
CONTROLS
--------
Preferences, Configure controls, "type" chooses the keyboard, the
joystick or CD32 pad in either Amiga port (through lowlevel.library) or
an Xbox 360 pad.
Xbox 360 pads: with xbox360w.class running (Poseidon, Xbox 360 Wireless
Receiver), its pads 1 and 2 are listed as "Xbox 360 Controller 1" and
"... 2". Choosing one sets its own buttons: A jump, X shoot, B lightning,
Y powerline, RB grenade, LB shockwave, Back next weapon, Start menu; the
D-pad or the left stick walk. The buttons are shown by their names and
can be changed as usual.
SOURCE
------
https://github.com/Sdursun/Hurrican_Minigl (branch hurrican_ogles2)
The ogles2 build (GCC 16 cross compiler, libnix) is described in
Hurrican/amiga/README.md there; Hurrican/amiga/build-deps-ogles2.sh
fetches and builds every library this program is linked with, including
the changes applied to them: SDL2 (Steffen Haeuser's SDL2_68k with the
ogles2 project's GLES2 backend and patches, and a joystick driver of this
port), SDL2_image, SDL2_mixer and libmodplug.
LICENSES
--------
- The game, its graphics, music, sounds and levels: (c) Poke53280. Free
to use, modify and pass on, but not to sell (see Docs/README-source.txt
and Docs/readme.txt). Commercial use of the assets needs the author's
permission.
- The Amiga port's own code: MIT license (Docs/LICENSE-port.txt).
- Linked libraries, each under its own license (Docs/Licenses/): SDL2,
SDL2_image and SDL2_mixer (zlib), libmodplug (public domain), libpng,

import library (Hyperion MiniGL Open Source License) and glm (MIT).
