1. Beschreibung
================

Kurz: Der IDEfix-CD32-Emulator-Hilfs-Guide zeigt
----- vor dem Start des Emulators hilfreiche Informationen
zu Einstellungen von CD32-Spielen an.
Lang: Der IDEfix-CD32-Emulator-Hilfs-Guide wurde geschrieben, weil ich es
----- in Anbetracht der großen Menge von CD32-Spielen für notwendig und
hilfreich hielt, alles so einzurichten, dass vor dem Start des
IDEfix-CD32-Emulators eine kleine Notiz angezeigt wird, in der alle
nötigen Einstellungen für das jeweilige CD32-Spiel, das man gerade
spielen will, stehen. Das AmigaGuide-Format bot sich dafür
geradewegs an, da man sich so sehr schnell einen Überblick über
vorhandene und eingetragene Einstellungen für CD32-Spiele machen
kann. Außerdem ist es somit möglich, sich schnell das jeweilige
Spiel herauszusuchen und die Einstellungen für dieses zu erfahren,
anstatt sich an irgendwelche mal vorher ausprobierte Einstellungen
erinnern zu müssen. Es kann schon sehr nervig sein, wenn ein Spiel
zwischendurch 'abklappt', obwohl man es vorher hätte verhindern
können, wenn man den CD32-Emulator für das Spiel richtig eingestellt
hätte. Desweiteren ist es natürlich auch sehr hilfreich, sich über
allgemeine Einstellungen informieren zu können. Man sieht,
die Vorteile sind grenzenlos, und es ist sehr komfortabel...
2. Informationen zur Verbreitung
=================================
Dieses nette 'Tool' ist Public Domain, genauer gesagt: Freeware.
Es darf also frei verteilt und kopiert werden, vorausgesetzt,
es werden keinerlei Änderungen an irgendwelchen Teilen des
Archivs vorgenommen.
3. Installation & Systemvoraussetzungen
========================================
Ich habe mich für ein Installer-Skript entschieden, anstatt die
Menschheit mit meiner komplizierten Ausdrucksweise zu verwirren! :-)
Insgesamt gibt es aber 2 Skripts: Eins speziell für die Installation
auf Boot-Diskette ("IDEfixCD32Guide-InstDisk"), das andere ist
für Festplattenbenutzer vorgesehen.
Hinweis: Beide Installer-Skripts werden bei der Installation
-------- mit ins entsprechende Zielverzeichnis kopiert. So kann man im
Nachhinein noch auf Diskette/Festplatte installieren!
Für die Installation auf Festplatte wird benötigt:
--------------------------------------------------
o IDEfix-CD32-Emulator von Oliver Kastl/"Elaborate Bytes"
o CD-ROM-Laufwerk und Amiga mit AA-Chipset wären sinnvoll! ;-)
o (Mindestens ein) Guide-Viewer: o "AmigaGuide" und/oder
o "MultiView"
[Beide Programme benötigen Zusatzsoftware, die aber jeder bereits
auf seiner Festplatte haben sollte, sonst würden ja beide gar nicht
funktionieren! ;-)]
o "RequestChoice" V40.2 (Ist inbegriffen, wird automatisch installiert!)
o LhA-Entpacker (Sollte sich im "C"-Verzeichnis befinden) für das
Archiv "ReqCh.lha", das während der Installation entpackt wird
o Installer V43.3
(Bei älteren Versionen kann es zu Problemen kommen, daher sollte
man sich die neue Version zulegen, da ich sonst nicht für den
richtigen Ablauf der Skripte garantieren kann! Die Version 43.3
kann man in der "SpyBox" (Brett "Bin/Amiga/Tools") oder in
der "Vesalia BBS" (Brett "Binaer/Amiga/-Wanted") bekommen,
aber er sollte natürlich auch im Aminet zu finden sein.
Genauere Infos zu beiden Mailboxen sind übrigens im Guide
unter "Updates" zu finden!)
Für die Installation auf Boot-Diskette:
---------------------------------------
o Wie oben, aber der/die entsprechende/n Guide-Viewer muss/müssen
bereits auf der IDEfix-CD32-Emulator-Boot-Diskette installiert sein!
Hinzu kommen noch einige andere wichtige Sachen, die ebenfalls auf
die Diskette kopiert werden müssen, damit alles richtig funktioniert
(Siehe Anhang! LhA-Entpacker nicht vergessen!).
4. Deinstallation
==================
Falls jemandem der Guide nicht gefallen sollte, kann man diesen durch
folgende Schritte entfernen:
o Löschen aller Dateien im Zielverzeichnis, die dem
Muster: o "IDEfix*" sowie
o "ReqCh*" ("ReqCh.lha", "ReqCh.readme") entsprechen
o Löschen der bei der Installation neu erstellten StartUp-Sequence
im "S"-Verzeichnis: "IDEfixCD32Guide-StartUp"
o Entfernen der bei der Installation in die
IDEfix-CD32-Emulator-StartUp-Sequence eingefügten Zeilen
o Wenn Deinstallation von Diskette: Löschen der Zusatzsoftware
(Siehe Anhang!)

Anhang: Erläuterung der Zusatzsoftware
=======================================
Falls jemandem etwas von der unten aufgelisteten Software fehlt,
kann es unter Umständen nicht so schlimm sein, denn einiges wird nicht
unbedingt benötigt! Man sollte in diesem Fall ausprobieren, ob es auch
ohne die entsprechende Software klappt!

Short: The IDEfix-CD32-Emulator-Support-Guide shows helpful
------ information about settings of CD32-Games before the
CD32-Emulator starts.
Detailed: The IDEfix-CD32-Emulator-Support-Guide has been written
--------- because there is such a big number of CD32-Games. So I thought
it would be helpful if - before the Emulator starts - there
would be shown a short information about the game you just want
to play and its settings for the Emulator. The AmigaGuide format
is a big help because you can easily get an outline of what's
included in the guide at this moment. Moreover, it's also
possible to find a game (and its settings) quite very fast.
It is no more necessary to remember the settings. I think it
can be very nasty if a game does not work properly although
you were able to prevent this by 'giving' the CD32-Emulator
the right settings. Last but not least it's just a very
comfortable way of getting information about the gadgets, too.
2. Copying
===========
This nice 'tool' is Public Domain (Freeware). So you are allowed to
spread it around provided that there aren't made any changes within
the archive.
3. Installation & requirements
===============================
I've decided to create an Installer script instead of confusing
mankind with my complicated way of expression! :-)
Note that there are 2 scripts altogether: One specifically for the
installation on the boot disk ("IDEfixCD32Guide-InstDisk"), the
second one represents the script for hard disk owners.
Note: Both scripts will be copied into the destination drawer.
----- So you can install the guide to disk/hard disk afterwards, too!
Requirements for installation to hard disk:
-------------------------------------------
o IDEfix-CD32-Emulator by Oliver Kastl/"Elaborate Bytes"
o CD-ROM drive and Amiga with AA-Chipset would be useful! ;-)
o (At least one) Guide viewer: o "AmigaGuide" and/or
o "MultiView"
[Both programs need additional software. But everyone should have it
on his hard disk, otherwise they simply wouldn't work! ;-)]
o "RequestChoice" V40.2 (Included, is installed automatically)
o LhA-Unpacker (Sould be in your "C"-directory) for the archive
"ReqCh.lha" that will be unpacked during installation
o Installer V43.3
(Older versions might cause problems. You should use this version,
otherwise I can't guarantee for the right progress of the scripts.
Version 43.3 should be available in various BBSes and, of course,
the Aminet.)
Requirements for installation to your boot disk:
------------------------------------------------
o As above, but the guide viewers you want to use already have to be on
the IDEfix-CD32-Emulator-Boot-Disk! Besides, you first have to make
sure that you have also copied the additional sofware, used by both
"AmigaGuide" and "MultiView", to your boot disk
(See supplement! Don't forget the LhA-Unpacker!).
Otherwise the guide viewers might not work.
4. Deinstallation
==================
If anyone does not like the guide, it can be simply removed:
o Delete all files in your destination directory corresponding to
the patterns: o "IDEfix*" and
o "ReqCh*" ("ReqCh.lha", "ReqCh.readme")
o Delete the StartUp-Sequence in the "S"-directory
that has been created during installation: "IDEfixCD32Guide-StartUp"
o Remove all lines from the IDEfix-CD32-Emulator-StartUp-Sequence
that have been inserted on installation
o If deinstallation from disk: Delete additional sofware

not be significant. Both guide viewers don't need everything given below.
