AmiSubsonic - a beautiful music player for Navidrome and Subsonic
=================================================================
Plays your music collection from a Navidrome or Subsonic server, your
own MP3 files from a folder on disk, audiobooks from an Audiobookshelf
server and podcasts. Album covers as a picture wall, and the colours of
the whole window follow the cover of what you are looking at.
NEW IN 0.4
- Audiobooks from an Audiobookshelf server: cover wall with your
progress, a click continues where you stopped - also where you
stopped on your phone. The position goes back to the server every
30 s and on pause, stop and quit.
- Podcasts without any server: search the Apple podcast directory,
subscribe, the newest 50 episodes of each show. Every episode
remembers its position and whether you heard it.
- Scan under Folder, Settings set apart, headings in colour
- Fixes: seeking into an MP3 could fail ("no MPEG in stream"), long
HTTP headers spoiled covers, plain http streams used up the CPU
FEATURES
- Navidrome / Subsonic over http or https (AmiSSL)
- own MP3 files from a folder, grouped into albums by directory
and ID3 tags, covers from folder.jpg or the embedded picture
- album cover wall, covers in true colour, cached on disk
- background and lists take on the main colour of the cover
- lyrics from the server, or from lrclib.net if it has none
- internet radio stations of the server, with the current title
(MP3 and AAC/HE-AAC streams)
- visualizer: spectrum of what you hear, coloured from the cover,
with reflection; 15/20/30/60 frames per second or off
- Home, Albums, Tracks, Favorites, Radio, Folder/Albums,
Folder/Tracks, Audiobookshelf/Books, Podcasts
- own player via AHI and mpega.library: pause, seek, queue
- optional own screen
- AmiSubsonicCLI, a shell tool for testing without the interface
REQUIREMENTS
AmigaOS 3.1 or 3.2, 68020 or better, no FPU needed
a FAST Amiga - decoding needs a lot of CPU (PiStorm, 68060,
accelerator or emulator). A plain 68020/030 is too slow. On a
PiStorm, MP3 costs about 6 % and HE-AAC radio about 16 %; the
visualizer adds about 12 % at 30 frames per second.
RTG graphics with 24 bit (CyberGraphX compatible)
MUI 3.8 or newer
a TCP/IP stack with bsdsocket.library, AmiSSL v5 for https
AHI
mpega.library from util/libs/mpega_library.lha (not included)
picture.datatype V43 and a JPEG datatype for the covers
optional: an Audiobookshelf server for audiobooks
INSTALLATION
Copy the AmiSubsonic drawer to your hard disk - not to RAM:, the cover
cache and your podcasts live next to the program. Start it and enter
server, user name and password in Settings, optionally an Audiobookshelf
server too. Podcasts need no settings: Podcasts > Add/Remove. See
README.txt in the drawer.
Audiobooks and podcasts play MP3 only - no M4B books, no AAC/M4A or
video podcasts. Apple lists some shows twice, as audio and as video;
take the audio one.
WinUAE / Amiberry: coloured stripes in the covers come from the JIT.
Switch the JIT off.
Full source is included, MIT licence - except muistubs.c, which comes
from the amimcp project and is Apache 2.0, and the AAC decoder in
Source/vendor/helix-aac, which is the Helix decoder by RealNetworks
under the RealNetworks Public Source License. Both licence texts are
in the archive. MUI's developer headers and the original mpega.h are NOT
included; the README in the Source drawer says where to get them.
Tested on an A500 with PiStorm (AmigaOS 3.2.3) and in WinUAE / Amiberry
(Workbench 3.1).
This program is vibe coded. I described what it should do, an AI wrote
the code, and I tested and decided what stayed in. The full source is
in the archive, so you can judge for yourself.
Note on the uploader address: it is written without the @ and the dot
to keep address harvesters out. Put an @ before "gmail" and a dot in
front of "com" and you have it.
===================================================================
was du gerade ansiehst.
NEU IN 0.4
- Fehler behoben: Springen in ein MP3 konnte scheitern ("no MPEG in
stream"), lange HTTP-Koepfe verdarben Cover, Stroeme ueber reines
http frassen die Rechenzeit
FUNKTIONEN
- Home, Albums, Tracks, Favorites, Radio, Folder/Albums,
Folder/Tracks, Audiobookshelf/Books, Podcasts
- eigener Abspieler ueber AHI und mpega.library: Pause, Springen,
Warteschlange
- wahlweise eigener Bildschirm
- AmiSubsonicCLI, ein Shell-Werkzeug zum Testen ohne Oberflaeche
VORAUSSETZUNGEN
(Workbench 3.1).
