This portfolio is the THIRD of the series of hundreds of video
images I have created over the years in studying this location.
The icons and graphic simplicity of the ancient artists conceals the
intelligence and ingenuity of the creator. Everything was done with
purpose and may contain hidden information.
The location has proven to be a solar observatory far older than the
highly touted Anastazi sun dagger and significantly more complex.
Since it's origins some 2,500 years ago, until nearly modern times
the location was considered sacred and revered and visited by priests
and shaman alike. It is still considered a place of healing by some of
the Natives.
The location was brought in focus by the work of Harvard Professor
Dr. H.B."Barry" Fell. See SAGA AMERICA, sorry it's a book, not available
through any net. Look up INYO ZODIAC.
SOURCE LOCATION: SWANSEA, INYO COUNTY, CALIFORNIA
LOCALE DESIGNATION(S): INY-272 (UCLA), No. 41 (Steward), Swansea (Baldwin)
THE LAST IMAGE IN THE SUNSYMBOLS01 SET BELONGED ON THIS NUB OF ROCK.
THE UNIQUE STYLE WAS THE POINT OF SOME DEBATE AND MUCH CURIOSITY.
THE SOLUTION WAS FOUND IN 1985 WHEN ANN AND VINCENT YODER, ALONG WITH
MARGARET AND BURRELL DAWSON DISCOVERED THE FUNCTION OF THE CONCENTRIC
CIRCLES. THE SUNSYMBOL MAY CONTAIN A MESSAGE.
EXAMINATION HAS SHOWN THAT THE FRACTURES THAT CREATE THE SHADOWS ARE
NATURAL. THE ADDITION OF THE PECKED CIRCLES TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE
PRECISE SHADOW IS SOMETHING OF GREAT WONDER. WHO, WHY AND FOR WHAT REASON
DID SOMEONE DO THIS. WE SUSPECT THIS IS ABOUT 2,500 YEARS OLD.
THE MORNING EQUINOX MARKER WAS DISCOVERED BY ANN AND VINCENT YODER OF LONE
PINE, CALIFORNIA IN 1985 AND CONFIRMED IN 1986. IT HAS A COMPANION MARKER
THAT WORKS AT SUNSET.
