Description... Shown here is T400 at the head of the Victorian
Railways commissioners train at Benalla back in
November 1974. The station building you see in the
background was constucted in 1874 with the
tower/dining rooms being added in 1888/89. This
building was said to resemble the Rijksmuseum at
Amsterdam, which was completed about the same time.
Unfortuantly the Tower,dining and refreshment rooms
were demolished shortly after this picture was taken at
the end of 1974/75 to make way for a car park.
