Welcome to PageStream 2.22 Demo
Demo Users
This is a fully working version of PageStream v2.22 except you
will not be able to save any work and when printing, and the
program will print a banner across the page saying "Printed with
PageStream". Also, we have not included everything the full version
of PageStream contains. This version does not include a spelling
dictionary, but the hyphenation dictionary is included.
Just a sampling of the fonts are included. PageStream 2 currently
ships with 20 font families, 47 individual fonts (when you include
italic, bold, and bolditalic versions).
Here is a list of the families: CSTimes, CSTriumvirate (Helvetica),
Garamond, Artistic, Columbia, Creative, LtrGothic, Oriental, Saturn,
TomHudson, UniversityRoman, AvntGarde, Bookman, Courier, Chancery,
Dingbats, HelvNarrow, Palatino, Schoolbook, Symbol.
We recommend that you install this demo on your harddrive.
PageStream is compatible with all Amigas running Workbench 1.3
and above.
It also uses its own custom printer drivers which generally operate
faster than the Workbench equivalents. However if you prefer to use the
preferences printers, you only need to load the "Preference.Printer"
driver under Global menu / Configure Printer.
This version (2.22) better supports 256 color modes with Commodore's
new machines the A1200 and A4000. To see the number of colors for a
custom screen, you need to change the tooltypes for PageStream to:
SCREEN=custom
COLORS=#
where # is 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128 or 256.
Note that bitmap pictures are displayed in black and white in
PageStream 2. .
To open PageStream 2 on a DOUBLENTSC or DOUBLEPAL screen, instead of
the default HI-RES INTERLACE screen, you must toggle on MODE PROMOTION
with the IPREFS preferences program.
