files:

PageStream comes with a fast spell checker and can automatically
hyphenate your text. No word processor can match PageStream's selection of
precise typographic controls. Kerning, tracking, leading, bulleted
paragraphs, widow and orphan control---PageStream 3.0 has it all! But if
you need faster text editing than PageStream can provide, we include a
free copy of PageLiner with each PageStream3 package!
DRAWING TOOLS

PageStream has always had better drawing tools than most so-called
professional drawing programs, but it's more true than ever before with
PageStream 3.0!
The new Pen tool allows you to draw great B zier curves and complex
paths. The improved Freehand tool lets you sketch your ideas and then have
them smoothed out automatically.
The Rounded Box tool is unlike any you have used before; have you ever
wanted to draw a box with scalloped or inset corners? How about beveled
corners? It's simple with PageStream3.
The new Polygon tool helps you draw multi-sided objects without any
fuss. Set the number of sides to make a hexagon or octogon. The Polygon
tool has amazing options to turn a simple pentagon into a star, or a 20
sided shape into a saw blade. Try out the puffy and wavy sides for
fantastic effects!
EASIER TO USE

The new Edit palette allows you to change object coordinates and
settings without having to wade through requesters. Open the Edit palette
and leave it anywhere on screen while you work to save time. The Edit
palette changes modes as you work, from text attributes, to editing
points, to setting the ruler zero point.

PageStream 3.0 is the best desktop publishing program ever. But no

invested in ProPage, upgrading to PageStream means you have to lose all
your documents and learn a whole new program, right?

PageStream can open your ProPage documents so you won't lose your document
files! It can also edit your ProDraw drawings (even ProPage can't do
that!) And PageStream can use your ProPage Compugraphic Intellifonts.

WHEN???

As soon as possible. We aren't writing PageStream 3.0 to get rich. If
we wanted to do that we wouldn't be writing specialized software for the
relatively small Amiga market. We are developing PageStream because we
love desktop publishing and we love the Amiga. We want 3.0 to be the best
it can be, and if it takes a little longer to get it done, so be it. When
we think it's ready to ship, we'll ship it, but not before.
That being said, we believe PageStream 3.0 will be available in March
1994. We don't think it could be any later than April.
It's been a long time since we released a new version of PageStream,
but this is the 'big one'. We started from scratch this time, and threw
away our old source code. This will make PageStream easier to upgrade and
maintain in the future. We pored over all the letters we have received
over the years, and added as many of the features requested as possible.
We really do care what you think, and have designed this program for
you. If you want a particular feature, write to us. If you're upgrading
from ProPage and find something confusing about PageStream2 or 3, let us
know and we'll try to make it easier in the future.
PageStream is our labor of love. We think that when you see it, you'll
agree that it was worth the wait.
