Name of the program: RandomBackdrop
I have started the development of this program on my
AMIGA 1200 since few years for private use, seen I
have some OS 3.9 adapted backdrop on my AMIGA 1200
and I did want to have each one of them randomly as
Workbench backdrop.
The program should be placed into the S: drawer but
can be placed anywhere on your Amiga hard disk; it
requires one file to work, that is
RandomBackdropsList that MUST BE ABSOLUTELY PLACED
into your Amiga hard disk S: drawer; this is a text
marked with the RandomBackdropSelection header
followed with the full pathes of each image you want
your Amiga uses as backdrop, and they can be
anywhere, but now their pathes should be long up to
one hundred ninetytwo chars.
The program generates the file BackdropImage into
your AMIGA T: drawer; you should use this like the
name of the random pattern; however you can specify
a new name typing it into your backdrop images list
after the SelectedRandomBackdrop marker.
This program should be execute before that your
Amiga loads the backdrops, in my case it is executed
before IPrefs into the startup sequence.
If this program is executed from Workbench you can
load the backdrops by the given window that has five
buttons:
TUTT (ALL), NESS (NONE), INVE (SWAP), NUOV (NEW),
and SALV (SAVE); I hope this brief description in
english may be understood from all the possible
users.
The backdrops can be selected for deletion, use
left mouse button to select or the right one to
deselect.
Now there is an info line below the backdrops list
that shows the selected and the total backdrops.
Now the text of the buttons and of the information
line can be changed in your language by Tooltypes,
that are the parameters showed calling the
INFORMATIONS Workbench menu voice of the
RandomBackdrop icon.
Now the information line words SELEZIONATI, DI e
TOTALI can be changed in your language by Tooltypes
also.
Now it is possible to modify the name and path of
the destination backdrop image (I suggest to not put
a suffix if it does not correspond to the original
images).
Now if the program is launched by CLI or SHELL with
the parameter either WORKBENCH or WB it will be
possible load the backdrops, like if its icon is
clicked.
Refined some non noticeable wrong things.
Now the allowed backdrops are up to 255!
Now the information line is more visible and the
saving message can be modified by tooltype.
Now the program could be opened before Workbench and
there is a saved list message and now the count of
the backdrops mouse (de)selection is corrept.
Now the program's window should opens via
WORKBENCH or WB equivalent parameters
without lauch the startup sequence!
Performed some correptions, now the program is more
font sensitive.

Ho iniziato lo sviluppo di questo programma sul mio
AMIGA 1200 pochi anni fa per uso privato, visto che
avevo tre sfondi adattati dal Sistema Operativo 3.9
sul mio AMIGA 1200 e volevo avere ognuno di questi a
caso come sfondo per il Workbench.
Il programma dovrebbe essere piazzato nel cassetto
S: ma può essere messo dovunque nel disco rigido del
vostro Amiga; richiede un file per funzionare,
cioé il file RandomBackdropsList che DEVE ESSERE
MESSO ASSOLUTAMENTE nel cassetto S: del disco rigido
del vostro Amiga; questo è un testo marcato con
l'intestazione RandomBackdropSelection seguita dai
percorsi completi d'ogni immagine che volete che il
vostro Amiga usi come sfondo, e possono essere
dovunque e la lunghezza del percorso può essere fino
a centonovantadue caratteri.
Il programma genera il file BackdropImage nel
cassetto T: del vostro Amiga; dovreste usarlo come
nome dello sfondo casuale; comunque potete
specificare un nuovo nome digitandolo nella vostra
lista delle immagini di sfondo dopo il marcatore
SelectedRandomBackdrop.
Il programma va eseguito prima che il vostro Amiga
carichi gli sfondi, nel mio caso l'ho messo nella
Startup-Sequence prima di IPrefs.
Se questo programma viene eseguito dal Workbench
potrete caricare gli sfondi con una finestra
dedicata che ha i seguenti cinque bottoni: TUTT
(TUTTI), NESS (NESSUNO), INVE (INVERTI), NUOV
(NUOVO) e SALVA (SALV); spero che questa breve
descrizione ne abbia chiarito l'uso a tutti i
possibili utenti.
Gli sfondi possono essere selezionati per la
cancellazione, cliccate con tasto sinistro del mouse
per selezionare uno sfondo e quello destro per
deselezionarlo.
Ora c'è una linea informativa sotto la lista degli
sfondi che mostra il numero degli sfondi selezionati
e degli sfondi totali.
Ora i testi dei bottoni e della linea informativa
possono essere cambiati nella vostra lingua con i
Tooltype, che sarebbero quei parametri che compaiono
selezionando la voce INFORMAZIONI del menù del
Workbench selezionando l'icona di RandomBackdrop.
Ora le parole SELEZIONATI, DI e TOTALI della linea
d'informazione possono anche loro essere cambiate
nella vostra lingua con i Tooltype.
Ora è possibile modificare il nome ed il percorso
dell'immagine di sfondo di destinazione (suggerisco
di non mettere suffissi se non corrispondono alle
immagini originali).
Ora lanciando il programma da CLI o Shell con il
parametro WORKBENCH o WB sarà possibile caricare gli
sfondi, come se si avesse cliccato sulla sua icona.
Rifinite alcune cose non visibili.
Ora gli sfondi consentiti sono fino a 255!
Ora la linea informativa è più visibile e c'è il
ToolType anche per il messaggio di salvataggio.
Ora il programma potrebbe essere aperto prima del
Workbench e c'è un messaggio finale di salvataggio
della lista degli sfondi ed ora il conteggio della
(de)selezione degli sfondi col mouse è corretto.
Ora la finestra che il programma apre via Workbench
con i parametri equivalenti WORKBENCH o WB dovrebbe
poter essere caricata anche senza lanciare prima la
Startup-Sequence.
Eseguite delle correzioni, ora il programma si adatta
meglio alle fonti di carattere.
