ReKickReset is a tool for users of ReKick.
Purpose: Enable the user to reset a ReKicked machine as transparently as
possible directly back into the RAM Kickstart.
Features: · Patches exec.library/ColdReboot() to call the new reset
routine.
· Installs a keyboard.device reset handler, to enable Ctrl-
Amiga-Amiga keyboard resets to work properly.
· Automatically handles variable start-of-chip-memory addresses.
The default is $400, but users of ShapeShifter will be using
a higher value, probably $2000 or $3000.
· Patches the RAM Kickstart to allow rebooting into it from a
software failure. This patch is removed just before the reset
takes place.
History: 40.1 (22.8.96) First public release.
40.2 (27.4.97) Second public release. Now patches the RAM
Kickstart to allow rebooting into it from a
software failure. The patch is removed just
before reset.
