UnixDirs3 is a totally rewritten (in assembly) successor for UnixDirsII.
So it's main function is still the same: allowing AmigaDOS handle some
path conventions common in various *nix systems. Within many options of
UnixDirs3 there is now also a feature called multiparent. This allows
you to use "..." in order to refer to the parent directory of your current
parent directory and so on ("...." means parent of the 3rd kind). Toggling
the wildstar flag is supported too.
UnixDirs3 requires OS3+, takes full advantage of it and patches all path
handling functions not including file notifications.
