This is a patch that enhances the features of the pattern matching calls of
AmigaDOS - multi-directory assigns are now supported. This means that a
program using the improved routines will even find matches in the additional
assigns, unlike the original CBM routines.
For example, listing the LIBS: directory will yield all files, in SYS:Libs/
and SYS:Classes/ (plus some more you might have added to LIBS:)
Of course more than one implementation of this patch is on the net, but
I tried some of them and found that most of them are broken or do not
support all features needed. In special, the MultiCX multiassign patch
is crap, and the original TrueMultiAssigns by Markus M. Wild has a lot
of quirks.
The following bugs have been fixed (this list might be incomplete) :
-Removed unnecessary requesters.
-multi-assigned directories are now handled as well (i.e.
CD LIBS: and listing there will yield the same result as list LIBS:)
-Removed an endless loop if a multiassign is listed with the "ALL" option
of list.
-Fixed problems with Rename to or from a multiassigned directory.
-Removed incomplete result strings for matches found in added directories.
