Find+

Find+ is a full-featured file and directory search tool for AmigaOS 3.x.
Files and directories can be searched by name (plain text or AmigaDOS
wildcards), by contents (text, wildcards or binary data entered as hex) and
by properties such as size, date and protection bits.
The results can be exported to a plain text file or copied to the
clipboard, and the search settings can be saved to files and loaded again
later.
Find+ can also be controlled from the Shell and from ARexx scripts, and the
installer can optionally make it replace the Find command of AmigaOS 3.2+.
It has a native ReAction interface under AmigaOS 3.2+, also runs under
AmigaOS 3.1 with ClassAct, and works on any Amiga with a 68000 or better
CPU.
Included languages: English (built in), Français, Español, Deutsch,
Italiano, Português.
Features
--------
- Search by name: plain text or AmigaDOS wildcards (#?), contains / starts
with / ends with / is exactly, case sensitive or not.
- Search in the contents of the files:
- plain text or wildcards,
- binary data entered as hex, with ?? wildcard bytes (mask).
- Files, directories or both. Recursive search with a depth limit, hard and
soft links included or not, soft links resolved or not.
- Filter by properties: file size (min / max, in bytes, KB or MB), date
range (YYYY-MM-DD), and each protection bit (set / clear / ignore).
- Results list: type, path, size, date, time and protection columns; full,
relative or file name only paths; directories or files first.
- Results exported as plain text or copied to the clipboard. Open the
directory of a result or its Workbench Information window.
- Search settings saved to / loaded from .ini files (Project > Save As /
Open), with the choice of the sections to save. User default settings
loaded at startup from Find_Presets/defaults.ini (optional).
- Search stopped before the memory runs out: the results found so far are
kept and the program stays usable, even with little memory.
- ARexx port, Shell arguments, Workbench ToolTypes, localized interface.
Requirements
------------
- AmigaOS 3.2 with ReAction (recommended), or AmigaOS 3.1 with ClassAct.
- CPU: 68000 or better. Executables for 68000 and 68020 are provided:
- Screen resolution of 640x400 or more.
- Hard drive and some Fast RAM (recommended).
- Open directory feature needs workbench.library V44+.
