This is the first public release of NSDPatch. It requires OS 3.1
and turns almost any Exec device into a device that looks compliant
to the New Style Devices standard by Amiga Technologies. This will
do for most users that e.g. can't easily get an NSD upgrade for
their devices.
It can also be used to provide a fix for broken devices that do not
support IOERR_NOCMD correctly.
It can also emulate NSD 64 bit behaviour on top of HD_SCSICMD or
TD64 supporting devices for V43 FastFileSystem compatibility and
support of >4GB devices and partitions.
Also a tool named NSDQuery is included to check devices for their
NSD capabilities, courtesy of Angela Schmidt

All in all, it does some pretty nifty and useful things IMHO.
