FreeMouse provides continuous adjustment of mouse speed,
between 38% and 300%, via a hotkey-accessible GUI.

It can also provide my personally preferred click-to-front behaviour
(where a double-click in the window border brings forward the window)
and MMB shift, where a click of the middle mouse button simulate a left
mouse button click with the shift-key held down.
