config-server maintains a configuration database that can be tapped by
other applications.  The database is reasonably flexible, I think, and is
accessed via ARexx messages to the config-server port ('config-server').

Included with the config-server program (currently written in ARexx) are a
config-editor (also in ARexx), an example "client" of the config-server
(config-editor, which lets you interactively edit the database) and
`legal.doc' which defines the general legal terms for the software (as
simple and loose as I felt I could manage).  (^&  Lastly, an example
database is provided (just copy it to ENV:).

It has some problems, but is sound on the whole, I believe, and useful.


NOTE: the `olib.org' site may be difficult to reach, as it's my ephemeral
SLIP link (only a few, irregular hours per day).  An MX record should exist
to route mail through `interstate.net'.  If you have an urgent need,
rkr@interstate.net may have it's advantages to use for contacting me, but I
would prefer to be reached "at home" via olib.org.
