This is a pointer animator for AmigaDos 3.0 or later (it might also work
on OS 2.1, but I've only tried it under AGA), and >=68020 CPUs. It
supports standard IFF anim-brushes or op-5 animations, 16 colors sprites,
ARexx, icon direct-drag-and-drop, a graphical user interface, and double
buffering pointer images in FAST RAM to consume only a very small amount
of CHIP RAM.
This is the first version of this utility, and there are some quirks to be
worked out yet, especially since working with sprites is always a bit
peculiar. Also, this utility does not yet support the 32 or 64 pixel wide
AGA sprites, but I hope to make it do so as soon as my 3.1 developer's kit
comes. For this version, however, you MUST set your system pointer prefs
to lo-res.
This program tries to be system compliant, although it will not work on
3rd party graphics cards due to the dependence on the Amiga sprite engine.
A few hand-drawn 4 color animated pointers are included, and also some
ray-traced (seriously!) 16 color animated pointers (but see the note in
the documentation under "Common Problems" about amiga hardware limitations
with 16 color sprites if they doesn't seem to work properly for you).
I am also soliciting contributions to the animated pointer collection.
